MUMBAI: Police say at least eight people have been killed and 70 others injured in three blasts that have rocked India's financial capital of Mumbai.
An official at the city's Police Control Room said one blast was the crowded neighborhood of Dadar in central Mumbai. The others were at the famed jewellery market Jhaveri Bazaar and the busy business district of Opera House.
The official spoke on condition of anonymity because of office policy.
The explosions happened around 7pm (9.30pm Malaysian time) Wednesday, when all the neighborhoods would have been packed with office workers and commuters. [AFP/The Star]
